Frederick Pollet obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering in Construction from Ghent University. He started his career as a Project & Production Engineer at Dredging International NV. In April 2006 he took over the company Pamo Metaalwerken NV, the takeover which also marked the start of the Octopus Capital group. In addition, in 2006 he founded the real estate company Pomecon together with his wife - Céline Staelens. Over the years, he also became a partner at the other Octopus Capital companies: Pneuvano BV (2013), Italmaster Belgium NV (2018) and Prodim NV (2019).
